Yesterday, cinno research released a report that the LCD smart phone panel price in May was still in the downward channel, and the decline exceeded expectations. Among them, the a-Si panel fell by $0.2, while the LTPS panel continued to fall by $0.1. It is expected that the LCD panel price will continue to decline in June.
The report points out that the price of flexible AMOLED smart panel was lowered by $1 in May, mainly because the shortage of driver chips has eased and will no longer be the main bottleneck of delivery. In addition, domestic flexible AMOLED panel manufacturers lowered the price and actively sought new project orders at a price more advantageous than Samsung display (SDC) panels.
Cinno research said that the overall price of rigid AMOLED panels remained high in May. However, under the pressure of the downward price of flexible AMOLED smart panels and the sluggish demand for panels, it is expected that the price of rigid AMOLED smart panels will be lowered in July.
In addition, the report predicts that the price of flexible AMOLED panels will continue to fall by $1 in June and July 2022, while the price of LCD panels will still fall by $0.1.
