Among them, Byte Company has ordered over $1 billion in GPUs, including A100 and H800 models, both delivered and not yet delivered.

    Another Internet giant placed a ten thousand card order with a total value of at least 1 billion yuan to Nvidia. The number of orders for byte companies alone this year may be close to the total number of commercial GPUs sold by Nvidia in China last year.

    It is understood that Byte, Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu, the four technology companies in China that place the greatest emphasis on artificial intelligence and cloud computing, have cumulatively purchased over tens of thousands of A100 models in the past. Among them, Byte Company has the highest number of A100 units. Excluding new orders this year, the total quantity of Byte Company‘s A100 and its predecessor product V100 is close to 100000 units.

    The source mentioned that big companies such as Byte and Ali mainly talk with Nvidia about purchasing directly, because agents and the second-hand market are difficult to meet their huge demand, and Nvidia will give a discount according to the catalog price and purchase scale.

    According to the data, at present, the price of an A100 on Nvidia‘s official website is 10000 US dollars (about 71500 yuan at present), and the H100 is 36000 US dollars (about 257000 yuan at present). The A800 and H800 launched for the Chinese market last year are slightly lower, but the transaction price will definitely be higher due to the shortage of supply and other reasons.
