On the same day, Jiangsu Changxiang Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. was established, the legal representative is also LI GEORGE, the registered capital of 180 million yuan, the business scope includes technical services, technology development, auto parts and accessories manufacturing, also wholly owned by Beijing Chehejia Automobile Technology Co., LTD.

Previously, the ideal car has many layout chip field, now in March, Beijing car and home automotive Technology Co., Ltd. and Hunan SAN An Semiconductor Co., Ltd. jointly established Suzhou Sike Semiconductor Co., LTD., registered capital of 300 million yuan, Beijing car and home accounted for 70% of the shares, Hunan SAN An semiconductor accounted for 30%, the two sides aimed at silicon carbide power chips.

At present, the semiconductor market presents a structural lack of core, consumer electronics chips oversupply, and automotive chips are in continuous shortage. Affected by this, in order to avoid being "jammed" by the chip, in recent years, a number of domestic car companies have announced cross-border core making, in addition to the ideal car, there are Xiaopeng, NiO, Geely, BYD and other car companies layout car chips.

Among them, Xiaopeng and NiO, like ideal, belong to the new force of car manufacturing, which ideal focuses on silicon carbide, and the current chip layout of Xiaopeng and NIO is more focused on autonomous driving chips; Traditional car companies such as Geely and BYD are also developing autonomous driving chips and power semiconductor devices.

At present, the ideal automobile silicon carbide power chip research and development and production base has signed a contract with the Suzhou High-Tech Zone Science and Technology Investment Center, is expected to start sample trial production in May this year, and gradually form an annual production capacity of 2.4 million half Bridges after the official production in 2024.

Ideally, if it can be successfully produced, it is also a great progress for domestic silicon carbide chips.

In terms of location, there is also an inherent logic for the ideal car to land the chip project in Changzhou and Suzhou. It is reported that the first factory of ideal automobile is located in Wujin District of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, and the chip location is close to the base camp in terms of resource sharing and team collaboration.
